A. Little Miss Rodeo Missouri Contestants must be 6 yrs old and shall not have reached the age of 11 yrs by August 1 of the year competing. A copy of the Birth Certificate must accompany the entry application
B. Jr. Miss Rodeo Missouri Contestants must be 11 yrs of age and shall not have reached the age of 15 yrs. by August 1 of the year competing. A copy of the Birth Certificate must accompany the entry application
C. The entry application, which includes a waiver of liability must be signed by the parents or guardian before a contestant can compete.
D. Each contestant shall not have been a previous Little Miss or Jr. Miss Rodeo Missouri. (which ever category they are entering they can not have already held the title.) you shall not have been disqualified or title removed to enter in any category.
E. Each contestant must be a United States Citizen and a legal resident of the State of Missouri
F. Each contestant must comply with all rules and regulations outlined herein. The Miss Rodeo Missouri Scholarship pageant reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for rule infractions.
G. Must provide her own personal health insurance.
H. Each contestant will be judged on the following; Horsemanship - Each contestant will be asked to bring her own horse and tack. The pattern will be set by the reigning title holder. There will be a set pattern that we will send to you once we have your application.
Personality & Appearance - Will be judged throughout the pageant.
Speeches - Little Miss contestants will give a one minute speech on favorite event in rodeo. Jr. Miss Contestant will give a two minute speech on your hero in rodeo, person or animal. No props will be used in speeches and no note cards.
Modeling - Contestants will model one outfit of western dress. This should be a western dress or skirt outfit. They will also be answering an extemporaneous question.
Interviews - Contestants will be interviewed privately by the judges for five to seven minutes each. Judging will include Knowledge of pageants, rodeo, horses, family and the state of Missouri.
You will be coming in on July 17, 2010 for the mandatory meeting. All your ads will be due at that time for the program book. Each girl must sell a minimum of $150.00 worth of ads. There is a very nice prize for the contestant who sells the most ads. But there are no points involved in this. After we receive your application, entry fee and pictures we will send you a packet of information and a copy of the contract to you that you will be expected to sign if you would win the title.
Deadline for entry is June 15, 2010. You will need to get your $50.00 non refundable entry fee, application and pictures: (2) 3 x 5 Colored Head and Shoulder photos in western attire and (1) 8x10 Colored photo for photogenic competition all in western attire as soon as you can so that you can get the rest of the packet.
